Ordering
The average order of home heating oil is usually between 500 - 1,000 Litres for a domestic household. However, some customers have much larger tanks.
At ValueOils.com we recommend that you order within your budget. This can be easily done by using our 'Quick Quote' generator and using our max spend option, this will display the correct amount of litres according to the amount you are willing to spend.
At ValueOils we are more than happy to supply your home heating oil regardless of the order size.
If you want to fill your tank, please check your tank levels and capacity to ensure you don't over order. The quantities and values ordered and delivered will all be confirmed by e-mail.
In the vast majority of cases, standard heating oil or 28 sec Kerosene is the oil which should be selected. We also supply a cooker fuel additive which you can select during the order process.
Payment
Please refer to the banner on our home page.
We also run a pre-payment scheme and full details of this can be found on our homepage.
Payment will be processed and debited in full to your payment card at the final stage of processing your order. If for any reason, your tank does not accept the full quantity that you ordered then, once the depot confirms the actual quantity ordered, a refund will be authorised to your payment card. If any additional fuel or services are added to your order, the additional value will be charged to your payment card at that time. Once delivery has been completed and confirmed by the Supplier depot, a completion eMail will be sent to you confirming final order and all payments.
ValueOils.com will never deliver more than the maximum quantity you have ordered and we will never overfill your tank.
If you over order, we will simply reduce the order quantity and value of your bill pro-rata to the supplier's relevant price band for the quantity your tank holds.
ValueOils.com does not offer monthly Direct Debit schemes to customers. However, we do offer an excellent Debit Card Pre-payment scheme which allows you to build up a credit balance and use against future heating oil orders at our very lowest prices.
We would highlight that most of our competitors schemes will charge at least 2p - 5p per litre if you purchase oil under their "savings" schemes. This will in fact add £20 - £50 additional charge on 1,000 litres of oil.
As we are an online business, we convenient payments online. This includes debit card, credit card or PayPal payments - we cannot take cash, cheques or oil stamps.
We do not charge for using a personal card whether it is a debit or credit card. Business cards are charged and the charges can be viewed on the payment page.
Yes, as far as we know, we are the only heating oil company in the UK currently accepting PayPal payments

The average delivery hose on an oil tanker is 150 feet (45 metres).
If you require your heating oil tank filled we recommend that you order the maximum that you think your tank will hold. We will not put more oil into your tank than you order unless you specifically request us to "Fill up my tank" on your order instructions. When the fuel is delivered and the quantity the tank holds confirmed by the driver we adjust your order and will charge or refund the appropriate amount to your payment card.
In most cases you do not need to be home to accept delivery. The driver will lock any gates etc. as appropriate when he has completed delivery. If you do need to be home please leave a request on your order instructions along with your contact phone number so that you can be contacted in advance to make arrangements.
All our heating oil deliveries are made through the on board pump and meter on the tanker. All meters are set, sealed and checked before approval by Trading Standards in just the same way as a petrol pump on a forecourt.
The delivery ticket will record on it the appropriate meter readings including the quantity dispensed through the meter and the start and end times of the delivery.
There are three sizes of tanker:
6-wheeler Approx 8.5m long, 3.5m high & 2.5m wide
4-wheeler Approx 7m long, 3.3m high & 2.4m wide
Mini tanker Approx 6.1m long,2.6m high & 2.2m wide
The 6 wheel tanker is the standard size of vehicle. Where access is restricted, you may need to request a 4-wheeler or mini tanker. These can be selected during the order process if they are available in your area.
Smaller vehicles are normally required where access is limited / restricted eg: narrow streets with cars parked at both sides, narrow country lanes or roads with weight restrictions or low bridges and when it is necessary to enter onto a driveway to effect the delivery.
Knowing the size of your oil tank and its capacity will make future orders much easier. The average domestic tank capacity usually ranges between 1000 litres to 1350 litres. Some larger domestic tanks have capacity of up to 2,500 litres. All recently manufactured oil tanks must state their approximate maximum capacity (in litres) on the Product Label, which is generally located on the front or side of the tank.
If you are still unsure of your tank's capacity and would like some advice, please contact ValueOils.com on 0330 057 0857 and we will do our best to help.
Yes, we can bleed your boiler in most areas of the UK.
You should request this during the order process (if available) by selecting this additional service at step 1 in the 'order oil' section of the site. We charge a fixed price including VAT for providing this service to partly cover the insurance cost whilst carrying out the service.
If you have any further queries on this area, please contact us by e-mail to sales@valueoils.com or by telephone: 0330 057 0857
